First, when we buy the new Laptop/Desktop then we do not consider that what we are buying. If you are a fan of Windows OS then you should consider these basic requirements:
If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC:
- 1 (GHz) or 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
- 1 (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
- 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
- DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
For Windows 8.1 and Windows 10:
- 1 (GHz) or 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
- 1 (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
- 16 GB for 32-bit OS 20 GB for 64-bit OS

Non-compatible program
This problem is possibly due to the non-compatibility of the program with the new Operating System. The program with old software will not function on the new OS like an app which is working on Windows 8 will not function on Windows 10 and an application created for Mac OS X with an extension of .app will surely not function on Windows PC. A 32-bit application can work 64-bit Windows OS but it can not the other way.
Missing Plug-ins
If updating the program software doesn’t work, then contacting the tech support service can be very helpful. The solution is that the program might have a missing plug-in of Java or Flash. The browsers mostly give the alert to install these, whenever required. Sometimes such a situation also arises in the PC we are already working on.
Lack of computer resources
Less disk space, CPU, read and write the related program files and folders. Too many programs running altogether, causes programs and computer to freeze, which can be
stopped by Alt+Del+Enter.
Methods to release more computer resources means to free up much more computer space:
- Delete all useless temp files, registries, entries, trash files, etc.
- Uninstall or remove unnecessary programs, games, and applications.
- Clean up computer internal hard disk.
- Increase the computer virtual memory.
- Extend computer memory with external hard disks, flash drives or more storage devices.

Computer infected with malware
Computer viruses and malware occupy lots of space in the computer resource and do to allow other programs to open and run properly. Update the latest version of Antivirus and use it to scan and kill the viruses, malware, etc.
Conflict between two software
If various programs are opened together or several similar programs are installed before getting ‘not responding’ error problem on the computer. This is the software conflict. To solve this, avoid opening such programs together in future.
File or registry entries of the program may have been corrupted
The computer needs to read some important files and folders to run a program and if these
essential files get deleted or corrupted then it leads to program running problems. The solution to this is, restore deleted, lost or corrupted program files and folders through data recovery software.
Probably! I have listed all of the issues which occur due to this reason. If you are facing the issue again and again then you should take any technical support for why is my program not working.
