The Apple Watch’s “i” icon serves the same purpose throughout iOS and iPadOS. It is a lowercase “i”, enclosed in a circle, that represents and provides “information.”
This is what you need to know regarding the Apple Watch’s “i” icons and how they relate with the watch’s interaction to an iPhone.
What’s the ‘i” icon on an Apple Watch’?
The “i” icon on an Apple Watch lets you know you can access additional information to manually pair your watch and iPhone.
You must pair your new Apple Watch with an iPhone before you can use it. The pairing process can be performed automatically or manually by using the “i” icon.
You can use an Apple Watch by clicking on several icons. The first one starts the manual pairing process. Others give more information and generate the code that will allow you to sync your watch and iPhone.
Where can I find the ‘i” icon on my Apple Watch?
On the initial setup screen of your Apple Watch, you will find the first “i” icon. Place the unpaired Apple Watch on you wrist to find it. The “i” icon should be visible at the lower left.
You can manually pair your Apple Watch with an iPhone if you need it. For more information, please refer to our section on re-pairing.
Unpair an Apple Watch Using the ‘i” icon
You can unpair an Apple Watch using the “i”, but it will be on your iPhone’s Watch App rather than the Apple Watch.
1. Open the Watch app for your iPhone.
2. Tap All Watches in the My Watch tab.
3 A list of devices will appear (or in most cases only one). Tap the watch that you wish to unpair.
4. Tap on the “i” icon to right of the selected watch.
5. Tap Reset Apple Watch then confirm that you wish to do this.
How to repair an Apple Watch with the ‘i” icon

2 Tap on the “i” icon at the lower right to select your language.
3. Next screen, tap Pair.

5. Open the Watch app on your iPhone and then tap Pair.
6. You can position the animation of the Apple Watch in the Frame page. However, if this doesn’t work or you prefer to manually do it, tap pair Manually. Then select the watch name from a list.
