Design
The Acer Swift 3 Sf315-41 design has a lot of things to love. The laptop is extremely lightweight and thin, making it very easy to transport. The laptop’s metal chassis adds a premium feel and look. Unfortunately, the webcam is located at the bottom of screen making it difficult to make video calls.
Display
There are many things you will love about the Acer Swift 3 display sf315-41. The visuals are first and foremost stunning. The colors are vibrant and the detail is amazing. The display can be seen clearly even from an angle.
The touch screen is responsive and precise, too. The device was easy to use and we had no problems with accidental inputs or mis-taps. The screen could be brighter. In direct sunlight it can be difficult to see what is on the display.
We are very impressed by the Acer Swift SF display. It’s the best display we’ve ever seen on a Windows 10 device and will please everyone who gets it.
Keyboard
The Acer Swift 3 Sf315-41 laptop is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a powerful laptop with beautiful display. Before you purchase it, however, you need to know some details about the trackpad and keyboard.
Although the keyboard of the Acer Swift SF has backlighting, it is not very bright. It’s quite dim. It’s possible to have difficulty seeing the keys when there is low light.
The trackpad of the Acer Swift 3 315-41 is large, easy to use. It doesn’t have physical buttons. To perform all clicks and gestures, you’ll need to use the touchpad.
Performance
The Swift SF from Acer is a solid all-round performer. Although it isn’t the fastest laptop that we tested, it is far from the slowest. The Swift SF scored a solid 3,344 in the Geekbench 4 overall speed test. This is consistent with its Core i5-8250U processor.
The Swift SF paired 20,000 addresses and names in just 3 minutes and 9 seconds during our OpenOffice spreadsheet macro testing. This is a little slower than the 3:03 average, and also the 3:04 average for the Asus VivoBook S15 (3:30) and the 2:58 for the Lenovo ThinkPad T470 (2:30).
The Acer Aspire E 15 (4.20) took almost a minute to accomplish the same task. The Swift SF completed the task of duplicating 4.97GB multimedia files in 42 seconds, at a speed of 118 MBps. This beats the average (83 Mbps), and the E 15 (56% MBps), but is just short of the VivoBookS15 (124 Mbps), and ThinkPad T470 (122 MBps).
Battery Life
The Acer Swift 3 Sf315-41 ultrabook is great but has a major problem: the battery life. The Swift SF lasted only 3 hours and 15 minutes with a single charge during our testing. This is significantly lower than the average ultrabook battery life of 6 hours.
Acer Swift 3 Sf315-41’s poor battery life is due to its small battery. The Swift SF-315’s 42Wh battery is smaller than most ultrabooks, which have a 50Wh (or larger) battery. Acer Swift 3 Sf315-41’s battery is smaller so it won’t last as long as other ultrabooks.
The Acer Swift 3 Sf315-41 Ultrabook isn’t the best choice if you want a notebook with excellent battery life. The Acer Swift 3 Sf315-41 ultrabook is worth looking at if you aren’t afraid to carry around a charging cable and want an ultrabook that’s stylish and powerful.
Input/Output Devices
There are many input and output options available for the Acer Swift SF. The keyboard and mouse are the most popular input devices. There are touchpads and trackballs as well as game controllers. Monitors, printers, speakers, and other output devices are all examples.
Monitors
Acer Swift SF is available with a 15.6″ or 14″ display. Both displays have a 1920×1080 resolution and feature LED backlighting to ensure clear images and consistent colour. The 14-inch display features an antiglare coating to reduce reflections. The 15.6 inch display is touchscreen and allows for simple navigation.
Storage and Ports
Acer Swift SF-314 notebook is slimmer and lighter than most. The Swift SF-314 is also portable. It has a 14 inch screen, a lightweight chassis measuring just 0.71 inches by 12.7 inches by 8.8 inches (HWD), and weighs in at 2.65 pounds. The ZenBook 3 (2.5 lbs) is the lightest notebook in its category. It has a 12-inch screen and weighs in at 2.5 pound.
The Swift SF-314’s magnesium-aluminium frame feels premium and strong, just like other ultrabooks at this price. The matte exterior of the lid resists fingerprints while the interior is made from brushed aluminium with an Acer logo in the centre. The notebook doesn’t creak or flex when you hold it tightly in one hand and open and close it with the other.
Acer Swift 3 sf315-41% had to make sacrifices in order to keep the Swift SF-314 light and slim. On the left, there’s only one USB 3.0 port. There is a full-size HDMI output as well as a headphone socket. Two more USB 3.0 ports are located on the right (one doubles up as a charging port) and an SD card reader. This is it. There’s no Thunderbolt 3 support, Ethernet jack or SD card reader. You’ll need an adapter or external dock to access these features.
Acer selected a 256GB solid state drive (SSD), which is adequate storage and memory for an ultrabook. There isn’t much space to expand so it might be worth upgrading to the 512GB model when you order. Otherwise, there won’t be much left after installing Windows 10 Home and all the bloatware.
Acer used 4GB RAM for our review unit. This is the base model on Acer’s website. However, you can order 8GB. We recommend that you get more RAM than the price range’s ultrabooks. Some models have a soldered-on design, which makes it difficult to upgrade without having to separate your system. Swift SF-314 has two SODIMM slots underneath the bottom panel. This means that if you have more than 4GB memory, it is as simple as adding an extra stick.
Conclusion
Acer Swift 3 Sf315-41 laptop is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a new computer. The Swift 3 sf315-41 is a great laptop, with a slim design and fast processor. It also has a long battery life. It doesn’t have a high-resolution screen but it is still a great value for the money.
